Please forgive me saying this in English. Since I left Le Locle in 1974, I have thought of Claude many times, and searched the internet many times, looking for a way to thank an old friend for his generosity. Today a series of unrelated events led me to think of him and search once more, but the first link on the page was the announcement of his death. I am surprised myself that, after all these years, it has brought me to tears. I never got a chance to thank him. Perhaps you will accept my gratitude and know that a young Canadian has brought fond memories of him and travels with him down through all these years.
