Even though it was clear when Patrizia and I skyped for the last time that she was fragile, her brilliance, warmth, and beauty were no less vibrant than when we first met, so many years earlier, at a her interview dinner in Pittsburgh that would make her a cherished colleague and, more importantly, an enduring friend. We miss her greatly.
