The world has lost a true English lady. Anita was class from head to toe. In my years as President of The British Club of Las Palmas, we coincided at many functions. Her wonderful personality shone through on every occasion and it was a joy simply to be with her. My sincere condolences to all the family and especially to Jean for bringing her such happiness. Anita shed love, joy, generosity and warmth to all those who knew her. I was fortunate enough to know her and experience these qualities. My thoughts are with her husband Jean and family at this sad time. She will remain in my heart and those of all her friends in Las palmas for ever. Je transmette toutes mes pensées à sa famille

I have known Anita since she was an eighteen year old and was always charmed by her sense of humour and bubbling personality. She was a good friend and an excellent workmate, who will be sadly missed by those who came into contact with her.My sincere condolences to Jean.

Dear Jean, Im so sorry that Anita has gone and left such a huge gap in our world "I can shed tears that she is gone, or I can smile because she has lived. I can close my eyes and pray that she'll come back, or I can open my eyes and see all she's left. My heart can be empty because I can't see her, or I can be full of the love and friendship we shared. I can turn my back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or I can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. I can remember her only that she is gone, or I can cherish her memory and let it live on. I can cry and close my mind, be empty and turn my back. Or I can do what she'd want: smile, open my eyes, love and go on. Goodbye my darling friend Anita and thank you Jean for making her so happy
