I have been working with Barbara and her husband Brian for several years at CERN. Never will forget Barbara! We had a great collaboration and passed lots of pleasant moments together. Unfortunately we lost sight of each other when I gave up work. I just learnt the sad news by pure co-incidence while surfing through internet. I am very affected not to have known earlier. Barbara was a neighbour who became a very good friend. We shared a love of film, literature, and flowers. Her curiosity and life-long love of learning opened many new ideas for me. I will miss our conversations over coffee. My thoughts and prayers are with Brian at this time.
