Pierre was an extremely generous and caring man. A true gentleman of culture, taste, sophistication, and personal courage (I think of the months after his ski accident and the loss of the dog Fanny). I think of many other times when the tall poplar trees grew on his street and Elizabeth and their children were our neighbors. Pierre was and remains an example to follow and now has, I trust, attained an Eternal place of peace.
