Dear family of dearest Evelyne, We became friends at Schondorf in the spring of 1965 after which I visited Lausanne, and later Basel when Evelyne was there. We lost contact over the years and so I never met Seb or Gabriel and Lucas. We re-established contact via Schondorf in late 2009 and I planned to visit with my family in June 2010 during a trip to Europe from our home in Vancouver, however my father died a few days before our planned flight to Geneva. These last three years have been full of supporting my mother, my disabled daughter, moving house and some medical issues - culminating with the death of my mother on March 20, and her funeral on April 16 2013. During this whole time I have thought so often of Evelyne, wishing her well in her medical challenges, intending to write again and arrange a visit, but never managing to do it. Today at last I took some action, only to find this shocking announcement ... I am so full of regret and sadness to know that she is now gone and we can not meet again. I shall never forget her talent and amazing spirit - I loved her dearly despite my neglect. I send my love and condolences to you all, especially Madame Rose-Marie, Dominique et Henry.
