Eileen and I are shocked and saddened by the death of our longtime friend and colleague Marcel. His contribution to hospitality education is monumental. He provided the vision and drive fundamental to securing his beloved Les Roches recognition as a world-class leader in hospitality education with the largest enrollment of an English speaking hotel school in Switzerland. His lifetime accomplishments in international hospitality education were recognised by all his students and fellow educators. And he was presented the EuroCHRIE President's Award for his outstanding lifetime contributions and dedication to the highest standards of hotel management education and training and to the hospitality industry. May he rest in Peace.

The alumni of Ecole Des Roches offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Mr. Clivaz. Mr. Clivaz had a strong influence on us when we were children and we will never forget that he united so many of us, students and teachers, through his little school in Bluche. We are a stronger group of friends worldwide thanks to Mr. Clivaz. May he rest in peace.
