I met Mary K Weed in Paris while working for IBM Europe. She had a piano and was a very nice person

Mary's smile, kindness and courage will always remain in our hearts and memories. We wish Sam and the children all the strength necessary to overcome this tragic loss.

Mary Weed-Pickens, an absolutely extraordinary human being, will be deeply and forever missed by all of the friends she brought together over the years. Even after she became ill, Mary’s instinct was always to bring together and take care of the people she loved; she never let anyone leave her house without a gift of some kind: a basket of apricots or walnuts, a loaf of bread, a “must-read” book, or simply words of wisdom and encouragement.
